Deansteel standard bullet resistant frames are manufactured from 12 gauge cold rolled steel with a ballistic plate as required.  Frames are thoroughly cleaned and phosphatized to inhibit corrosion and increase paint adherence. A one coat primer provides further protection from corrosion and serves as an excellent base for field painting. Standard frames come in 5 ¾” jamb depth.

Frames are pre-punched for silencers, furnished with welded in plaster guards, 7 gauge hinge reinforcements for heavy duty butt hinges or a continuous 7 gauge strip hinge reinforcement for  continuous hinges, and 16 gauge combination strike reinforcements and mortar guards.

• All 1 ¾” (45mm) door frames are prepared for ANSI-A115.1 and ANSI-A115.2, 4 7/8” (124mm) strikes.
• Hinge preparations for 1 ¾” (45mm) door frames are 4 ½” (113mm) template type or continuous hinge.
